About me... Huh... Well, I'm a pretty normal guy, but I'm definitely also one-of-a-kind. I enjoy cooking and would like to make a career of it after I retire from the military. Food is really my passion. I love trying new foods and feel like it's one of the easiest and best ways to experience new cultures. I really enjoy spending my free time trying new recipes, improving on my favorite old recipes and tinkering in the kitchen.

I also enjoy pretty much any outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding, skateboarding and going to the beach or lake. I love to travel and really love just going somewhere crowded to walk around and people watch. I am always excited to see new places and experience new things.

I grew up in Tempe AZ, and lived there until I was 18, at which point I joined the military. Since then I have lived in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, the Azores (a small island chain in the Atlantic ocean. It's a territory of Portugal) and now I live in California. I have traveled all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and have been to a number of countries in the Middle East.

I love to laugh and have a good time. I make a concerted effort not to take life too seriously. I have a great sense of humor (how subjective is that?) and have often been told I am witty and sarcastic. I am relatively outgoing and get along well with most everyone I meet.
