Hello there, the name's Tom.
I want to experience the world and all the most interesting people in it, to enrich myself with new approaches and new opinions, and to try as many new things as I can reasonably can.
My skills and interests are based mostly around technology, though there are plenty of things I'd be interested in talking about.
I enjoy listening to people and I'm one of the most tolerant people you'll ever meet.
I like to think I'm very generous and perhaps a little too trusting. I would never willingly damage or inconvenience another person.
I'm much more interested in getting to know equals then anything else, and personality appeals to me more than appearance. That said, i'm happy to talk to anyone for any reason.

What I'm doing with my life
Currently working on several potentially very profitable ventures online. The most promising of which is developing and selling 2D games to publishers.
Currently, my self-assigned occupational title is 'Freelance Game Developer'.
I have no interest in a conventional job, I'm not suited to that environment, though I have tried.

Favouritest of all the things
Books:
I don't like the format of books, I read all kinds of things online, but not really novels.
Movies:
Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Inception. Animated movies are great, the marvel avengers movie series is also pretty good.
Shows:
Star Trek Voyager, TNG, Enterprise. Sherlock is my current favourite TV show.
Music:
Very difficult to describe my musical tastes. I like a lot of video game music, some modern/mainstream stuff, a bit of classic rock, some epic orchestral music. I'm open to most musical forms. I prefer music in which the vocals are just an instrument, rather than the dominant force. My favourite band is Sonata Arctica, favourite song "The Wolves Die Young".
Food:
Paella is my favourite dish, though alas, I've never had one that wasn't pre-made and microwaved back to life.
I guess my order of preference for food is Spanish/Mexican, Indian, Italian, Chinese, English, then everything else.
Games:
I'm not decided on my favourite game, but Crysis 3 is probably what I'd say if pushed. I like games with a focus on emergent gameplay... sandbox games like Garry's Mod, Minecraft (which I don't play much any more), and Elder Scrolls games, particularly modded. I'd be up for trying almost any game with someone though, so tell me if you'd like to do that.

My darkest secret
I don't really have any dark secrets... here's some little-known trivia anyway: The first time I got drunk was at age 2, and I haven't been drunk again since... The occasion just hasn't arisen.
