Hi there - thanks for peeking in :) I'm originally from South Florida and now living/working in San Francisco. (Ft. Lauderdale - Nanchang - Shanghai - San Francisco)

I'm an experience junkie with an insatiable appetite for new cuisines (especially New American), wines, a nice neat Scotch and craft beers (IPAs). Growing up in South Florida, I have a great love for the ocean and water sports: surfing, scuba, dragon boat paddling, and kayaking.

Catching a strong case of the travel bug, I wanted to take some time after grad school to gain a better understanding of the world and the people who live in it, so I decided to sell everything, pack a couple bags and move to a place that I felt was as utterly different from home as possible - rural China. What was intended to be a 1-year adventure in the southern farmlands turned into nearly 3-years in booming Shanghai.
