In his youth, Henry cooper (AKA Ender III) worked in a mechanical laboratory in Munich, Germany. One day, his arms were caught in the machine, and both were lost. After being discharged from the hospital, he learnt how to use his feet and and teeth in place of his hands. After years of training, he set off to use his newfound prowess to destroy all machines, cursing them for costing him his arms. He was finally caught by the Gestapo, and when they learnt of his hatred of machines, they sent him to America to do as he would.

After murdering Dill, who provided him with information on the Johnston Defense Plant, the Angel was put on the Armless Tiger Man's (Henry Cooper, AKA Ender III) trail, and traced him to his hotel room because of his favorite wine, Chateau Quim. Although the Angel was disguised as a waiter, the Armless Tiger Man recognized him and kicked him in the face. The Angel fought back, but the Armless Tiger Man ran away, and slid down the chain of chandelier by his teeth. The Angel leapt after him, but the Armless Tiger Man kicked him off the chain.
