Hmm, maybe a debate: do you think physically disciplining a child is a good thing or a bad thing?

A smack on the bum or a clip 'round the ear. Good thing or a bad thing?

I received physical discipline as a child but I'm not totally sure how I feel about it. I don't consider it abuse, but I think there may have been alternative ways. That being said I was a stubborn little shit (still am), so who knows?

I don't think I would discipline my children with physical stuff. What do you think?
